*ALL ROTOR CLIP STAINLESS STEEL, BERYLLIUM COPPER, AND SPECIALTY METAL PRODUCTS ARE DFARS COMPLIANT*
A bit of history: DFARS is part of the “Buy American Act,” which has been around since 1933. This legislation has been used throughout our history
“…to provide a preferential treatment for domestic sources of un-manufactured articles, manufactured goods, and construction materials. …The Act remains a Depression-era reminder of the protectionist policies of the United States prior to World War II.”
The DFARS clause has enjoyed a re-birth in the past few years in response to the threat of sabotage and terrorism. It states that any specialty metal must have had the metals used to produce them melted in this country or in a qualifying country (clause 225.003).

There should be a clarification made here. As distributors and manufacturers, we are not certifying that parts supplied are “DFARS Compliant.” DFARS is a very extensive document and compliance with all of its provisions would be virtually impossible. Rather, we are certifying that the parts conform to DFARS 252.225-7009, “Preference for domestic specialty metals,” indicating that the "Country of Origin” must be a “Qualifying country” as listed in the current revision of 225.003 of DFARS".
